Rebecca Spencer – Managing Director

Rebecca is a strategic communications and engagement specialist with 20 years’ experience and is considered one of the go-to engagement professionals in the country. She specialises in developing and implementing communication and engagement strategies for the infrastructure and transport sectors.

Rebecca is called in when the project is tough, and the strategy or positioning needs to be watertight. She is engaged to provide solutions, direction, strategic advice and facilitation for complex, contentious and high-profile projects, issues and tender submissions.

She has successfully led large and high-performing teams across some of Australia’s largest and most challenging major projects. She has a deep understanding of planning approval, environmental legislation and NSW Government communication and engagement requirements.

Catherine Wheeler – General Manager

Catherine brings 15 years of national and international marketing and management experience, which ensures she has a fresh perspective on how we approach community engagement, communications and stakeholder management. Catherine’s expertise includes a specific focus on digital engagement, social media, marketing and client direction. With a background in tourism, government and advertising she is responsible for driving the business, the brand and ensuring the Becscomm team and our clients are happy and engaged.

Catherine also supports the team by providing proactive on-the-ground community and stakeholder engagement and communication support including face to face engagement, community research, managing digital platforms and running community events and forums.

Amanda Muir – Director, Engagement + Government Relations

Amanda has 20 years of experience delivering communications and engagement strategies for transport and infrastructure projects. She has worked across multiple transport modes including freight and light rail, roads and motorways with cross disciplinary skills including communications, community and stakeholder engagement, government and media relations.

She is experienced in all stages of the project lifecycle, from the development of the business case, early planning and concept design through planning determination and into construction communications while working with all levels of government.

Andrew GrocottDirector, Engagement + Communications

Andrew is a skilled and respected community and stakeholder engagement leader with a proven ability to develop, implement and evaluate complex engagement and communications programs and strategies. Andrew combines a background in behavioural economics, partnership brokering and complex issue management, which he has used to redefine community engagement practices across a variety of local and state government projects.

Andrew is a resourceful, emotionally intelligent and accountable team member with strong interpersonal skills, which allows him to communicate with influence at all levels and achieve successful and balanced project outcomes for his clients. His experience spans multiple sectors including local and state government, infrastructure, the Department of Planning and Sydney Water.

Amanda Mikhael – Senior Engagement + Communications Consultant

With more than 10 years’ experience in communications and stakeholder
engagement across a range of projects and sectors, Amanda has a track record of providing leadership to community and stakeholder engagement
teams during the construction of a number of major State Significant Infrastructure (SSI) projects.

Amanda also has experience in early project planning including facilitating community consultation meetings and workshops, property acquisition communication and environmental impact statement (EIS) preparation and consultation.

Charlie Baker – Senior Engagement + Communications Consultant

With 17 years experience, Charlie is accomplished in delivering communications and engagement services for complex infrastructure projects. Charlie brings a personable and proactive approach to working with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that project issues are anticipated and managed effectively and positive outcomes are achieved for both clients and the community.
Charlie has worked across multiple sectors including construction, transport, healthcare, education and not for profit combining his skills in project management, strategy implementation, team management and community and stakeholder engagement. He has led stakeholder engagement and communications strategies for major clients including the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, Transport for NSW and School Infrastructure NSW.

Suzanne von Kolpakow – Engagement + Communications Consultant

Suzanne is a professional communicator with a career spanning across stakeholder engagement, communications, community relations and event management. With an in-depth knowledge of assessing, anticipating and meeting project requirements and needs. She takes a strong interest in research, relationship management and seeing a project flourish from start to finish.

For close to four years, Suzanne has gained comprehensive experience working across numerous infrastructure projects at various stages, both government and contractor side. She has worked with Transport for NSW, Department of Premier and Cabinet, Department of Education, City of Paramatta, Sydney Harbour Trust and Multiplex, helping them deliver world-class projects.

Callum Roberts – Engagement + Communications Consultant

Callum Roberts is a dynamic communication and engagement consultant with strong interpersonal and writing skills. With a passion for strategic engagement, Callum excels at building authentic relationships to facilitate practical solutions that address community needs and deliver effective key messages.

His key industry sectors include government, rail, transport, construction, education, arts and regional affairs, and has worked with ARTC, Schools Infrastructure and DPIE. He is currently working a dual role across community and environmental.
